Questions and answers have always been a big part of estate agency. We spend a lot of time talking to people on the phone, replying to emails, and answering WhatsApp messages about buying and selling property on the Costa del Sol. Some of the questions are straightforward, others more challenging, and sometimes the most useful answer starts with "it depends".
We are always happy when people ask us questions and, if our experience can help them understand the process a bit better, avoid a problem, or simply feel more comfortable about a decision they are making, it is a job well done.
Answering the questions people actually ask
During recent months, we've deliberately focused many of our blog articles on answering questions that buyers and sellers genuinely ask us. These can be simple questions like:
These are not theoretical questions. They are the sort of conversations we have with people all the time. When we answer them, we try to give a balanced view rather than a sales answer. One of the most interesting things we've found is how often there isn't a simple right or wrong answer. Our job isn't necessarily to tell you what you should do. Sometimes it's just a matter of explaining the options and helping you choose which is the right way for you to go.
Bringing the questions together
The more we wrote the answers to the questions, the more we realised how much useful information was becoming spread across dozens of individual articles and pages. It seemed logical to try and bring everything together, and we now have a dedicated Questions & Answers page for both buyers and sellers. This section currently brings together nearly 200 questions about buying and selling property on the Costa del Sol.
Nobody needs to read them all, but if you have a question, the answer could well be there for you. Some are very simple, and others link to a more detailed article that goes into the subject in depth.
What haven't we answered?
Nearly 200 questions sounds like a lot, but we know we haven't thought of everything.
