Puerto Banus - the
Glamorous heart of the Costa del Sol . Love it or hate it Puerto Banus cannot be
ignored!
The marina
with its impressive display of large boats and cruisers is surrounded by all
the major designer shops and a continual parade of exotic cars makes it an
exciting and envigorating place to visit.
Puerto Banus
has grown considerably since its original conception as a Marina surrounded by
shops and restaurants and is now a town in its own right. It is home to the El Corte Ingles department
store and there is also a wide variety of independent shops and boutiques which
will have your credit cards jumping out of your pocket.
The nightlife
is legendary and there is a natural progression from the wide choice of quality
restaurants via the “early” bars to the clubs and late night bars which in the
summer season are always busy into the early hours of the morning.
During the
daytime the beaches are a major focus and in addition to the traditional
chiringuitos and beach bars there is also a good choice of up market beach
clubs which attract the movers and the shakers with a combination of parties,
live music and food and drinks.
Property
prices in and around Puerto Banus tend to be at premium levels although it is
still possible to buy a one bedroom “pied a terre” at prices from around 160,000
Euros.
