A town of three parts. Benalmadena consists of 3 distinct areas, The beach front zone, Arroya de la Miel, and up on the hillside the old town of Benalmadena Pueblo.
Situated only 8 kms for the International airport at Malaga, Benalmadena is a holiday haven that has retained its popularity over the years and it is no wonder why. From the beaches and Marina you have the choice of virtually every possible water sport and leisure activity. The Sea Life Centre, located at the marina is one of the major tourist attractions with its underwater tunnel, touch pools and Lost City of Atlantis.
In Arroyo de la Miel you will find the famous Tivoli World amusement park which has a funfair and also hosts live shows and entertainment into the night. There is also the cable ride from here to the top of Monte Calamarro from where you have breathtaking views of the coastline and surrounding countryside.
Benalmadena Pueblo is situated 300 meters above sea level and retains much of its original charm and character. The narrow streets and white washed houses are typical of the traditional Andalucian Villages.
Benalmadena offers you all the choices, lazing on the beach, tour the archaeological sites (the Romans were the original tourists), do some shopping or take tapas in one of the myriad of bars. Later you can have a quiet dinner or party the night away down at the marina or in the famous 24 hour square.
For those wishing to travel afield Marbella and Puerto Banus are both within about 40 minutes drive.
There are hotels of every type, size and quality and a wide choice of housing from the smaller studios to large independent villas, many of which have stunning views of the sea.
